DECIDING TO WRITE AN ARTICLE ABOUT YULIA PESHIKOV, I OFFERED HER TO MEET AND TALK. WHAT WAS MY SURPRISE WHEN YULIA WENT TO MEETING NOT ONE, BUT WITH HUSBAND VLADIMIR AND DAUGHTER DARIA. We immediately found a common language, and after a conversation I realized that it was impossible to write about them separately, they are a family of pedestrians. HERE ABOUT HER AND WILL BE A STORY.
Flights in airplanes and fantasies Our heroes were born and raised in Krasnodar. In childhood, each of them dreamed of the sky, therefore, independently of each other, both of them received flight specialties and came to work for Aeroflot, Julia as a flight attendant, Volodya as a pilot. Then their first meeting took place, and then began the "office romance", which happily ended in the march of Mendelssohn.
Life went on as a daughter was born. Julia stopped flying and began to deal with the house, and Vladimir moved to the international department of the airline as a manager for working with the UAE. After some time, they all moved to the Emirates together and have been living and working in this country for 15 years.
At first, the Peshikovs opened their own company operating in the automotive business. This brought a good income and allowed their family to live in peace and stability. If it weren’t for the younger daughter Dasha, they would not have known what a huge creative potential lies in them.
The next birthday of her daughter was approaching. Julia and Volodya wanted to celebrate it somehow in a special way and began to look for a company offering something extraordinary. It turned out that there are no such companies! Do you really have to choose between McDonald's, Burger King and KFC fast food cafes, where all the children's parties were held according to the standard scenario? At the family council, it was decided to organize something of their own, funny and unusual ...
We started by starting to study the experience of Russian companies and unexpectedly found the right idea - we need to make a life-size doll. But how to do that? This is where the second education that Julia received at the Krasnodar State University of Culture and Art with a specialization in interior design came in handy. We borrowed something from existing models, but had to invent a lot ourselves. Created selflessly! And here it is, a miracle. A purple dinosaur named Barney was born! It was in this costume that Pope Volodya enthralled the children who came to Dasha's birthday. Naturally, all Dasha’s friends immediately wanted to invite Barney to visit, and so that he would not be bored, he had to make a new character, in the role of which Julia had already acted. And then they came up with a few more, as the small "family theater" of the Peshikovs was more and more often invited for private holidays and official celebrations.
Non-business business
It turned out that the manufacture of a life-size doll, although difficult, but very interesting. It all starts with a sketch, then the base material is selected, suit patterns are created, fabrics and accessories are selected according to the texture, color. Not everything you need to produce a large doll can be found on the local market, sometimes you have to order something in other countries. It usually takes about two to three weeks to create one fairytale character. At first, Julia was mainly engaged in the “puppet” business, and Vladimir was connected only in his spare time from his main work, but in the process he became so carried away that he decided to seriously develop this business, for which he founded the company for organizing festive events. Thus was born the company “Majestic Promo and Events”.
Gradually, the scope of the new company expanded, its products began to be bought or rented by advertising agencies and event companies. Even The Dubai Mall has purchased several life-size puppets for its KidZania® indoor play area.
Soon, the UAE state organizations also became interested in the work of the Peshikov family, and began to make orders for thematic dolls. For example, together with the Dubai Committee for Roads and Transport (RTA), dolls from their workshop helped children learn the rules of the road, and on the UAE's National Day, the Pushikovs made a two-meter pair in traditional clothes for the Dubai municipality. In Abu Dhabi, the company's regular customers are Mafraq Hospital and American Community School.
And once in “Majestic Promo and Events” they called from the central television of Nigeria, they needed a fabulous hero of an unusual appearance. Julia and Volodya agreed, and soon the director of the children's programs editorial arrived in Dubai. Then the guys gave vent to their imagination, as a result there was no a hybrid of a bear, a cat and a dinosaur that doesn’t look like. The customer was very pleased! And there are many such funny stories in the Peshikov family's piggy bank.
From simple to complex
Over time, even the daughter was involved in the activities of the family business. She not only plays the roles of different characters, but also helps her parents with her advice, especially when developing children's scripts. Since Daria has not yet come from a young age, she easily comes up with various entertaining stories. Julia and Vladimir Peshikovs do not leave without attention the requests of public Russian-speaking organizations of the UAE. Their company is happy to take orders for the manufacture of new dolls to participate in various events of compatriots. One cannot help but recall the beautiful Mukha-Tsokotuha, who decorated a children's literary holiday based on the tales of Korney Chukovsky, organized in Abu Dhabi by the Russian woman’s association; or Russian Matryoshka and Cheburashka, who met guests at a reception at the Russian Embassy in honor of Russian Day.
Julia and Vladimir Peshikovs are not going to stop there. Their plans include the opening of a puppet theater with the participation of human actors and the creation of portrait dolls. The Peshikovs also want to arrange the production of evening and carnival dresses based on corsets. They will succeed! They are still so young, and all the major victories are ahead of them.
