In the UAE, tourists are offered to go on a tour for pearls

Historical tours on the subject of pearl fishing appeared in Ajman emirate.

Dubai, UAE. Emirate Ajman (UAE) invites all residents and guests to familiarize themselves with the traditional occupation of the inhabitants of the Arabian Peninsula and go hunting for pearls. The Ajman Pearl Journey initiative belongs to the Abdul Aziz bin Humeyd Foundation and Rahal Travel and Tours.

The main goal of the initiative is to get acquainted with the traditional heritage of Arabia: tourists can spend 60-90 minutes on a wooden boat and even find a shell with a pearl. During the tour, guests will learn about the history of pearl craft and those times when it was the main source of income for residents of the Persian Gulf countries.

It is worth recalling that the age of the oldest pearls discovered during archaeological excavations in the UAE is 7000 years. The tour starts from Al Zorah Pier, passes through the Crimean Forest area and Ajman Creek. Ticket prices start at AED 150 (US $ 41).
