So to summarize ...

Let's quietly, let us in an undertone,
Let's say goodbye lightly.
Week, two, and we will calm down,
What was, was, has passed ...

"Farewell song" from the movie "Ordinary Miracle"

For some reason, before, it always seemed to me that the most difficult thing was the first meeting with a stranger. I, like many of us, asked questions such as making the right first impression, finding the right tone during a conversation, some other important and not very details ... By virtue of my profession, I have met strangers over the past two dozen years, and as of today I know for sure, the most difficult thing is to say goodbye to well-known, close and beloved people. What should be the tone and style? How to be able to say the most important thing, something that has never had enough time in the hectic routine of everyday life? Who can not be ignored? Who has time to help with a kind word or useful deed? Who will certainly make a strict suggestion in the end, maybe it will? And by the way, even preliminary preparation for such a situation usually disappears somewhere, as soon as the moment of farewell comes finally and irrevocably. Somehow by chance, suddenly!

Why all this lyrics, you ask? And to the fact that this issue is the last in 2012, which means that it is intended to slightly summarize the joys and sorrows of the passing year, as well as to set you, dear readers, for the upcoming (very very soon) Christmas and New Year holidays - the most joyful and long awaited! And to the fact that it is time for me to say goodbye to all of you, those who have been looking at this page for more than six years out of curiosity or just to find out what else the chief editor of the magazine wants to say in his column?

Today, in the column entrusted to me, I inform you that I'm leaving to look for new creative horizons, and changes are coming in our editorial office! Certainly for the better, otherwise it cannot be! I hasten to thank you all together and each individually for many years of support and devotion! If you weren’t - cheerful and strict, grouchy and partial, active and kind, honest and implacable, thoughtful and frivolous - different, we would have no one to work for! You did not give us rest and did not leave room for boredom. It is you, the readers, who are the greatest creative resource of any editorial or publishing house! And let the one who comes instead of me try to say that this is not so! Do not believe if that! Yes, many heartfelt thanks to all my colleagues for their patience and constant creative search, for solidarity and daily help!

Consider all of the above as my declaration of love to you! And the wish of peace, kindness and health! Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you and your loved ones! Let you have a free minute every day to tell your friends and family how sincerely you love them! This is very important and it is necessary for each of us to know that we love him! Always and not for something, but just like that. And I, as usual, say goodbye to you, dear readers. And I hope that we will still meet somewhere in the new 2013!

Sincerely yours,
 Elena Olkhovskaya
