Georgia will open its diplomatic missions in the UAE

THE EMBASSY OF GEORGIA WILL FUNCTION IN ABU-DABI, IN DUBAI - THE GENERAL CONSULATE. The Georgian government has decided to open its diplomatic missions in the UAE. This was announced at a meeting of the Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Garibashvili, with the Minister of Economy of the UAE, Sultan Ben Saeed Al Mansouri. The meeting, which took place in Tbilisi as part of a joint business forum on May 19, discussed issues of bilateral relations and cooperation between Georgia and the UAE. According to the Georgian prime minister, the visit of the UAE delegation is extremely important and proves that interest in Georgia in the United Arab Emirates is growing.

"I want to note with satisfaction that the volume of investments from the United Arab Emirates has already reached $ 700 million. Trade between our countries last year grew and reached $ 220 million. Dubai is an example for us and we really can do a lot together," he said after meeting Irakli Garibashvili. According to him, the interest of Arab investors in Georgia is great, especially in the tourism sector and in water resources.

The UAE Minister of Economy, for his part, noted that Georgia has great investment potential, and said that together with the Georgian government they are looking for areas for investment, including in infrastructure, energy, industry, culture and tourism.
