Nairi, how did you come up with the idea to combine such different materials - plastic and diamonds, rubber and gold in jewelry?
I was looking for something unique and fashionable. I noticed that this year many designers used zippers in their collections. And it was they who inspired me. I create every thing as a work of art, and always imagine a piece of jewelry that a woman could wear every day. Of course, I follow what is happening in the market. Therefore, she decided to combine two areas - fashion trends in clothes and high-quality jewelry. The collection of my accessories used rare stones and gold.
Why did you present this collection in the summer?
The trend of this summer is bright and fresh colors. Atamant Diamonds products perfectly complement the collections made in these colors. We present a new concept of jewelry design and at the same time, colorful works of art of the jewelry genre. Our products can be worn in many ways. For example, like a precious pendant. And if you remove the clasp, you get just a plastic necklace.
What do you think, what jewelry from this collection will be sold best and why?
It depends, first of all, on the individual taste and fashion trends in a particular region. For example, in the countries of the East, as I managed to notice, my collection "Arabesques" is popular, in which religious motifs are intertwined. Bracelets, necklaces and rings, the theme of which were the letters of the Arabic alphabet, have become real favorites for local women, because they are both simple and elegant at the same time.
And I’m sure that Zipper Collection products will also find their customers due to their originality. My goal was to create a collection for all ages and for people of any gender. I think I managed to bring it to life. These jewelry can be worn with any clothes, and still they will be an attribute of style, as, indeed, the zippers themselves.
What can you advise to get as a gift for a child or, conversely, for an older generation of women? How do you see your customers today?
We, as I said, have offers for all ages, even for babies. As for real ladies, here Atamant Diamonds can offer jewelry for every taste. You know, I believe that jewelry is the final touch to the portrait of a real fashionista. Women are always looking for something to complete their individual image, and this search gives me inspiration for creativity.
I would like to give some tips on how to choose jewelry, if you will. Yes, of course, with great pleasure. First, you need to carefully study the proportions of your body. Earrings should be selected in accordance with the shape of the neck and hairstyle. Rings should correspond to the length and thickness of the fingers: do not put massive rings on short and thick fingers.
I recommend wearing bracelets only on the right hand. For necklaces, avoid wearing them on a short neck. Better pin the brooch on the left side of the dress or on the lapel of the jacket. We generally recommend that all our customers comply with these rules. Then all the decorations will be loved and appropriate.
Do you sell your products only in Dubai? Or can we find them in other countries?
Atamant Diamonds, indeed, began operations in Dubai. But in a short time we have grown great, and now we work both in the United Arab Emirates and in Saudi Arabia. We study the markets of Europe and the USA. You know that the name of the company is translated into Russian as “diamonds”. Many ethnic Armenians live in Russia and the CIS countries, so we are taking a closer look at the Russian market. I hope that soon we will be able to present our collections there too.
Why did you decide to become a jewelry designer? And what do you consider your main professional achievement?
Of course, my family had the greatest influence on the choice of my profession. Since childhood, I was interested in art and dreamed of creating something of my own, unique. By the will of fate, my husband was also involved in the jewelry business when our life paths came together. And together we decided to create Atamant Diamonds. Having studied the market of the United Arab Emirates, they began to offer local women something new, elegant and appropriate to their tastes.
What do you plan to please us in the near future?
Today we are focused on the global expansion of our brand. In addition, we plan to familiarize our customers with the new Zipper Collection.
