Shoes for movement

Renault Paul DauphinCEO John Lobb

Following the English tradition that shoes must be fashionable and of high quality, the famous British auto concern Aston Martin ordered a series of men's shoes “Winner Sport” specially for fans of their sports cars. To bring the idea to life, the automaker teamed up with another iconic English brand, the shoe company John Lobb, owned by Hermes House.

To create the unique charm and style of the new line, John Lobb involved his creative director Andres Hernandez, and the "breeder" of racing sedans - his chief designer Marek Reichman. Perhaps that is why in the end the shoes turned out to be elegant, light, fashionable, beautiful and with a lot of interesting and recognizable details - in general, the same as the steel "horses" of Aston Martin themselves. Designers described their style as “aerodynamic”.

The presentation of a new shoe collection, born in the collaboration of two English brands, was held at the John Lobb brand in Dubai. The chief executive officer of the shoe company, Mr. Renault-Paul Dauphin, flew in specially for her. He commented on the results of cooperation with Aston Martin: “The collection of our“ Winner Sport ”shoes, the prototype of which was our well-known series of shoes for everyday wear 8695, is made of thin calf and sheep skin, which“ breathes ”and retains its shape for a long time .

The rubberized sole with a bend gives them a truly sporty look. The lines stretched along the block resemble the interior line of Aston Martin salons, and the eyes for lacing made of graphite are the wheels of these prestigious sports cars.

The replaceable rubber insole is covered with sheep’s wool, which adds comfort to wear and does not allow the foot to sweat.

We paid much attention to the color scheme - gray graphite, black, chocolate, green, sky blue shades dominate in the collection. Laces of the same tone are successfully combined with a white or red flexible sole. "

To the question of how sporty and dynamic shoes fit into the prevailing image of John Lobb's unshakable classics, Mr. Dofin replied: “Despite the commitment to traditions, we are inclined to experiment. The creation of a joint collection with another English brand seemed interesting to us, so we decided to offer our permanent specially designed shoes for customers, many of whom are also fans of Aston Martin cars, with the main emphasis not on the fact that these are “driving” shoes, but emphasized we’re saying that it’s “for drivers.” The difference is small at first glance, however, it clearly reveals our desire to give modern men freedom of choice and movement. ”

"And what shade of the proposed eight colors (four shades of shoes with white soles and laces and four with red) do you personally prefer?" - we ask RenaultPol goodbye. “The color of wet asphalt combined with white soles and laces,” he replies. “In my opinion, this is the best addition to the latest Aston Martin sports car series, which everyone who loves speed and life in motion wants to drive.” Well, you can’t argue with that. If you want to find your lucky shoes, head over to the John Lobb boutique in Dubai Mall at your leisure, the Winner Sport collection is on sale now.
