Etihad Airways increases baggage allowance up to 30 kg

Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, announces a substantial increase in the free baggage allowance of 23 to 30 kg for passengers traveling in the Coral Economy class.

Participants in the Etihad Guest loyalty program get the opportunity to carry an additional 10 (Silver Guest card), 15 (Gold Guest) or 20 (Gold Elite Guest) kg in excess of the established norm, as well as pay extra baggage with bonus miles. Etihad Guest members also receive a 10% discount on extra baggage - you only need to inform the Etihad Airways sales office or help center in advance. Regardless of the class of service, Etihad Airways guests can now take diving and golf equipment up to 15 kg free.

Peter Baumgarner, Commercial Director, Etihad Airways, said: “We continue to expand our range of services and create new offers for our guests. We are confident that the possibility of carrying more luggage will be popular among passengers traveling in both economy and premium classes.” Recall that in March 2012, Etihad Airways increased its free baggage allowance up to 40 kg in the Pearl Business class and up to 50 kg in the Diamond First class.
