Russian artist Aidan Salakhova presented a personal exhibition "Out of Body" at the Cuadro Gallery in Dubai. The exhibition is open to the public until November 7 of this year. In total, here you can see 25 works, where the combination of Islamic traditions and Western frankly feminist influences is noticeably emphasized.
According to the organizers of the exhibition, the latest works of the author are provocative and at the same time subtle. The artist often uses even color spaces or gold as backgrounds that remind us of medieval paintings, illustrations of ancient manuscripts, or early mosaics. The central exhibits were sculptures made of contrasting rocks - white matte marble and black polished granite. It should be recalled that Aidan Salakhova - the daughter of a famous artist, laureate of the State Prize of the USSR and Azerbaijan Tair Salahov - is an artist, gallery owner, public figure, full member of the Russian Academy of Arts. In 1992, in Moscow, she founded a gallery, which has become one of the most respected among the public when it comes to contemporary art. Aidan Salakhova is a frequent visitor to the international biennale; her works can be found in the State Tretyakov Gallery, the Moscow Museum of Modern Art and private collections.
