A new chain of economy hotels will appear in Dubai

Major Dubai-based companies Emaar Properties PJSC and Meraas Holding will be engaged in the development of the hotel brand Dubai Inn. As part of this project, it is planned to build a network of economy-class hotels in the territory of the administrative center of the emirate. The project is part of the Dubai Tourism 2020 Strategy, previously announced by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.

According to Muhammad Al Abbar, chairman of Emaar Properties PJSC, the new network will be an example of affordable elegance. "One of the key parameters of the strategy is to increase the tourist flow to Dubai to 2C million people, which is impossible without a large number of economy hotels designed for a new generation of travelers," he said.

“A new generation of tourists is well versed in prices, and we must meet their needs. In this regard, we see great potential in the economy segment. Thanks to the Dubai Inn brand, we are looking to attract a large number of guests from growing markets, including from Asia Pacific, Africa, Europe and the Middle East, "Al Abbar explained.

Abdullah Al Habbai, chairman of Meraas Holding, also noted that Dubai is focused on the dynamic development of the tourism sector. He recalled that 62% of the total number of rooms in the emirate are five-star hotels. Among 42 thousand rooms under construction, also half belong to the premium segment.

According to Dubai's Department of Tourism and Commercial Marketing, in 2C12, the emirate was visited by over 1C million tourists, while Dubai International Airport served 58 million passengers.
