THE MODERN PHOTO ARTIST SAMA ALSHAIBI IS A FREQUENT GUEST OF INTERNATIONAL Biennale And Art Festivals WHERE HER ITS WORKS ARE CALLING AN UNTILED INTEREST OF AUDIENCE.
The focus of her lens is the horrors of war and internecine conflicts, the fate of people fighting for power and resources, and, finally, the internal battles of the individual with their own fears. All this is in sign language, attitudes and symbols. The works of Sama Alshaibi in the UAE are presented in the Ayyam Gallery. You can meet them every year at the largest art exhibition in the region, Art Dubai, and in April this year, her personal exhibition was held at the Emirates Palace Hotel in Abu Dhabi.
One of the latest works of the author is the Silsila series (translated from Arabic - communication, chain). A multimedia project is a summary of the artist’s journey through the Middle Eastern deserts, where water sources are endangered. These rivers and streams on the lands of the former Mesopotamia - the embodiment of the nomadic traditions of the Arab world - are now abandoned and dried up.
