The card can be used to make purchases in stores, restaurants, etc., withdraw cash from ATMs and pay for goods or services via the Internet. Issuance and activation of cards are made instantly, as well as replenishment of the balance on them.
This program is the joint brainchild of three companies - the newly created Emrat payment system National Rau, the owner of Atam payment terminals and Tuxedo Money Solutions, a company specializing in electronic payments. This type of service will be available to citizens and guests of Dubai from April this year. The installation of the first 200 kiosks in Dubai has already begun. Later, the program will cover all seven emirates of the country, and then other countries of the region.
