"My Vision: Challenges in the Race to Perfection" ("My Vision")

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. 2012 year

A unique, inspiring and, without a doubt, the most ideologically strong book ever published in the United Arab Emirates. In it, Sheikh Mohammed analyzes the best practices of the development of the UAE, the challenges that the country overcomes in order to achieve excellence and leadership: in the areas of service, tourism, the economy of knowledge and the development of human resources. The UAE Vice President addresses not only the Emirates - his audience is the entire Arab world. Dubai has proven that different cultures can coexist peacefully, which means it’s possible. "Whether you consider yourself a lion or a gazelle - it doesn’t matter. In the race for survival, you just have to run faster than others in order to save your life," the ruler of Dubai says, and it's hard to argue with him. Many of the photographs that illustrate the book were published for the first time.

"Desperate in Dubai" by Amir Al Hakavati. 2011 year

Desperate in Dubai is the answer to Desperate Housewives and the epic Sex and the City. The plot focuses on the fate of four girls a little over twenty: Lady Lux, the daughter of a wealthy emirate, living in a villa in Jumeirah and leading a double lifestyle; Lebanese young Leila, a real estate agent who came to Dubai to seek a rich husband; Indian Sugar, who is hiding in Dubai from her foggy past in England; and Nadia, a native of the North African region, experiencing the tragic history of a failed marriage. The novel, which became a landmark, grew out of a regular blog on the Internet. But the local society accepted the “truth of Dubai life” with difficulty - that is why the author still has to hide his real name. Initially, bookstores even seized the book from sale, but she managed to return there and become a bestseller.
