Young Russian wins gold at UAE jiu-jitsu tournament

Russian athlete Yan Khokholov won a gold medal at the ju-jitsu tournament in Abu Dhabi.

Dubai, UAE. Russian junior athlete Yan Khokholov won a gold medal at the World Jiu-Jitsu Championship in Abu Dhabi. It is reported that the Russian fought in the weight category up to 45 kg and in the final fight defeated the athlete from Kazakhstan Bekzhan Zhamanbai.

In total, at the tournament among juniors, Yan Khokholov won five victories in five fights: in two, the victory was awarded on points, and in three - for the effective conduct of painful or asphyxiation or control by the participant, which led to the surrender of the opponent.

In total, the Russian team won 18 gold, 14 silver and 19 bronze medals in all age and weight categories at the Junior World Championships. The jujitsu championship continues. On April 23 and 24, adult athletes compete in the Mubadala Arena.
