The crash in Ethiopia led to the cancellation of several flights from Dubai to Moscow

Dubai-based flydubai has canceled several flights from Dubai to Moscow.

Dubai-based flydubai was unable to quickly find a replacement for the Boeing 737 MAX aircraft, as a result of which flight cancellations to Moscow continue.

So, according to the information on the carrier’s website as of the morning of March 18, one of the flights to the capital of Russia was canceled (FZ 911), on March 19 and 20 only one of the two is indicated in the schedule. Some tourists reported in social networks that one of the flights on March 22 was also canceled. Departures to Yekaterinburg, Makhachkala, Krasnodar, Rostov-on-Don, Samara, Kazan and Mineralnye Vody have not yet been reduced.

According to experts, the reduction of flights to Russian regions may occur in the near future, since these flights were waiting for seasonal optimization. However, now, given the reduction in the carrier’s fleet by 13 boards, it is possible that it will begin earlier.

According to the Director General of the Travel Operator Space Travel Arthur Muradyan, the carrier cannot completely refuse the second flight to the capital of Russia - for him this is a strategically important area.

“There are no complaints about the airline’s work - they promptly and professionally reacted to this emergency situation. So far, all passengers of canceled flights are seated on Emirates flights, including our tourists. This situation will last approximately until March 20, after the 20th airline hopes to restore the second flight. Let's hope that they succeed, "Muradyan said.

Recall, earlier on the airline’s website, information was posted that flydubai canceled flights of Boeing 737 aircraft of the MAX 8 and 9 series, according to the order of the General Administration of Civil Aviation (GCAA).

Meanwhile, an analysis of the data of the flight recorders of the Ethiopian Airlines crashed Boeing 737 Max 8 plane crashed in Ethiopia testifies to the similarity of the tragedy with the crash of the liner of the Indonesian airline Lion Air, Ethiopian Transport Minister Dagmavit Moghes said. This information may lead to a more thorough investigation, which will lead to an increase in the downtime of this type of aircraft.
