Emirate Women's Day celebrated this week in UAE

Women’s Day is celebrated tomorrow in the United Arab Emirates.

On Tuesday, August 28, the UAE celebrate Emirate Women's Day. This holiday emphasizes the contribution and role of women in the development of the country.

As part of the holiday, under the auspices of Sheikh Fatima Bint Mubarak, chairman of the Women's Union, an event will be held dedicated to the Year of Zayed. The founding father played a key role in encouraging progress in the social life of women in the UAE.

"Nothing makes me happier than seeing women playing important roles in society, and nothing should impede their achievements," he once said.

Sheikh Fatima, who is also the Chair of the High Council on Maternal and Child Health and the High Chair of the Family Development Fund, is a prominent advocate for the advancement of women in the United Arab Emirates, initiating support programs aimed at empowering women and involving them in the development of the country.

Emirate women serve the nation, holding positions in various government agencies, including the federal government, where nine women ministers sit.
