Interest in cryptocurrencies in the UAE has increased sharply over the past 12 months, exchanges like BitOasis have literally been flooded with requests to perform account verification, which is required for trading in volumes exceeding 400 dirhams.
Any new user who wants to purchase Bitcoin and Ethereum through the site must enter their bank details, ID and confirm the address, after which he will be able to conduct transactions in excess of this amount. This process led to the formation of debt on orders.
The need for verification coincided with the advent of the possibility of acquiring Ripple tokens (XRP) on the platform.
