Faulty wiring led to the death of seven children in the UAE

Faulty wiring caused a terrible fire that claimed the lives of seven children in the emirate of Fujairah.

Authorities in the emirate of Fujairah, UAE, have identified the cause of the fire, which killed seven children. Sparks from faulty wiring in the living room hit furniture that was made from flammable materials, said Major Saeed Al-Hassani, a spokesman for the Fujairah police.

The police received a report of the fire at Roll Dhadna at 5.40 on Monday morning and immediately sent ambulances and firefighters to the scene.

At the time of the fire, there were four girls and three boys in the house. They died from carbon monoxide suffocation.
