Due to the weather in Dubai, almost 600 accidents happened per day

During the weather last weekend, the Dubai police received more than 12 thousand calls from residents of the emirate.

Dubai police received a total of 12,573 phone calls during the rains that covered the emirate on the weekend.

Within 24 hours, a total of 581 traffic accidents were recorded.

The Dubai Police Transportation and Rescue Department has also confirmed that no mountain accidents have been reported.

Colonel Abdulrahman bin Fares, Director of the Command and Control Center, emphasized the importance of using vehicle signal lights in the morning when driving to work and obtaining up-to-date weather information. This will help to avoid serious traffic accidents.

According to the National Center for Meteorology (NCM), moderate gusts of wind over parts of the country can cause dust and sand to rise into the air. NCM warns motorists of the need to observe road safety precautions in the UAE in the event of reduced visibility.

In addition, it is strongly recommended that water collection points be avoided, especially in mountainous areas and in valleys.
