The Capital Gate building in the UAE capital became the world record holder

The Capital Gate office and hotel project, located in Abu Dhabi, scheduled to be completed by the end of 2010, is officially recognized as the Guinness Book of Records as an artificial structure with the world's largest tilt to the side. This project is owned by Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company, ADNEC, which also builds it. The tilt of The Capital Gate is four times the tilt of the world famous Leaning Tower of Pisa and is 18 degrees west.

The building received the recognition of the Guinness Book of Records after a rigorous study and evaluation of the competition committee, which began in January of this year. The committee committee carefully examined the exterior of the 160-meter and 35-story building, claiming a world record.

The floor panels in the building are located vertically one above the other up to 12 floors. Starting from the 13th floor, they are staggered one above the other at a distance of 300 mm to 1,400 mm, forming a record slope to the side.

After the construction is completed, The Capital Gate will host the five-star Hyatt Capital Gate Hotel and office space with a total area of 20 thousand m². The design of the unique building was carried out by the famous international architectural company RMJM.
