Russian Minister for North Caucasus Affairs Visits Dubai Medical Cluster

The Minister of the Russian Federation for North Caucasus Affairs, during a working visit to the UAE, visited the Dubai Healthcare City medical cluster.

Minister of the Russian Federation for North Caucasus Affairs Lev Kuznetsov and First Deputy Minister of the Russian Federation for North Caucasus Affairs Odes Baysultanov visited the Dubai Healthcare City (DHCC) medical cluster and got acquainted with the experience of the medical institution.

“We want to study your experience in creating a medical cluster, your practice of developing a cluster and attracting medical tourists. Moreover, the logic of building a medical cluster, which has been successfully developing in Dubai since 2002, is largely similar to the principles of creating a medical cluster in Cavminvody. This both from the point of view of transport accessibility, and from the point of view of the three components that should be in the cluster: high-tech medical care, education and science, and most importantly - the principle of public-private partnership which is very important, since in medicine such projects can be implemented and be successful only when there is a private investor, "said Lev Kuznetsov, Russian Minister for North Caucasus Affairs, at a meeting with Bader Said Khareb, Managing Director of DHCC.

The Minister of the Russian Federation for North Caucasus Affairs Lev Kuznetsov spoke about the possibilities of the Caucasus Mineral Waters region to create such an innovative medical institution. "In Kavminvody, we have unique balneological resources for creating our own medical cluster, where we can treat gastroenterological, cardiovascular and orthopedic diseases," Lev Kuznetsov emphasized and added that the first and important step in creating a cluster in Kavminvody is the creation of infrastructure for further attracting investors.

According to the Minister, the health of the country's citizens is the key to the successful development of the state as a whole. "The most important thing that was voiced today: a state can be effective and competitive only when healthy people live in it. Because a healthy person can work efficiently and realize complex economic problems. In order for a person to be healthy, it is the state that must create the necessary infrastructure and not only treatment, but also prevention. It seems to me that our project is developing in the same paradigm, "said Lev Kuznetsov at the end of the meeting and explained that, unlike the one created in empty Nowadays, the medical cluster of Dubai at Kavminvod has a competitive advantage - the unique nature and healing mineral water.
