The famous singer of the United Arab Emirates became the UN ambassador

The UAE star, the famous singer in the Arab world, Hussein Al Jamsi, at the initiative of the United Nations, became the first representative of the Arab cultural strata to receive the title of "Ambassador on Special Assignments" in the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).

In 2010, the singer was named "UN Goodwill Ambassador", joining a list of other famous people around the world, such as US President Barack Obama, Argentinean football star Diego Maradona, Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt and many others.

Hussein Al Jamsi will represent the Intergovernmental Institute for the Use of Spirulina Microalgae in Combating Malnutrition (IIMSAM) in the GCC countries. The singer joined IIMSAM to support and develop the use of spirulina to combat nutritional deficiencies in developing countries.

Dr. Suleiman Al Fahim, United Nations Special Envoy for the Middle East, North Africa and Asia and an international observer of the organization, showed respect for the social position of the Arab singer and praised his dedication to art and society.
