Esmod International 170th Birthday

The art of fashion design and the creativity of Esmod, a student at the French fashion school in Dubai, was demonstrated as part of the recent celebration of the 170th anniversary of the establishment of Esmod International in Paris. As if recognizing the skill of Dubai's Esmod students and graduates, Mrs. Mary Nino, the wife of Esmod International's president, chose to appear at the celebration in an elegant black and gold dress that was sewn by Esmod Dubai graduate Weed Abdullah Riheimi, who recently won the New Fashion Cry award in Dubai

During the festivities, various innovations developed by Esmod founder Alexis Lavigne, a well-known French tailor and inventor, including a special kind of measuring tape, mannequins and the first method of making patterns, which were presented at the exhibition held at the Gallerie Joyce Gallery in Palais Royal, in Paris.

The exhibition was followed by an international fashion show, in which graduates and students of 17 Esmod schools took part, including Dubai, which prepared a total of 170 outfits for the show.

The end of the celebration took place in the building of the Paris City Council in the presence of Mrs. Lin Cohen-Solal, and. about. the mayor of Paris, who presented special City of Paris awards to the directors of Esmod schools in Germany, Norway, Korea and Tunisia, which are the oldest and were created 25 years ago, in recognition of their contribution to the development and promotion of French fashion abroad.
