According to James Hogan, CEO of Etihad Airways, Formula 1 racing is a great promotion tool for the Etihad brand. Thus, sponsorship of Formula 1 in Abu Dhabi is a mutually beneficial form of cooperation for Etihad Airways and Formula One Group. The expansion of the sponsorship timeline will allow Etihad Airways to plan investments in Formula 1 projects much more efficiently.

As Bernie Ackleston, head of Formula One Group, noted in turn, “thanks to the collaboration of Etihad and Formula One, the emirate of Abu Dhabi has become one of the most popular destinations for a multi-million dollar audience of Formula 1 fans. Formula 1 races in Abu Dhabi attracts more than 20 thousand people annually, bringing millions of revenue to the local tourism industry. "

As part of a partnership with Formula One Group, Etihad will continue to represent the Formula 1 Grand Prix in Abu Dhabi around the world, using, inter alia, its two liners designed in accordance with the F1 corporate identity. One of these aircraft will traditionally open this year's competition by flying over the Yas Marina Circuit racetrack.
