In connection with December 4, 2011 of elections of deputies of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation in the territory of the United Arab Emirates will be opened polling stations at the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Abu Dhabi (Khalifa street, 65.67) and Consulate General in Dubai (Umm al-Shayf district, 6B street, villa number 21). Opening hours are from 08.00 to 20.00 local time.
All adult citizens of Russia who are in the UAE and hold a valid foreign or internal passport and an emirate residence permit can take part in the vote. Citizens who have arrived in the UAE for a short time for tourism or business purposes need to get an absentee ballot in advance from the precinct commission at the place of permanent registration.
